BiDoku is a puzzle game with no BiDoku account, sign-in, ads, or cross-app tracking. With usage sharing on, it sends a fixed set of anonymous product events; purchase data is processed separately so purchases work.

What the app collects

Anonymous usage events count app launches and first opens, screens visited, gameplay settings, puzzle starts, resumes, completions and other lifecycle actions, hints, optional hint feedback, and purchase/paywall actions. Puzzle and hint events use random play and hint-session IDs; they can show how an anonymous installation used the app, but are not an account or a person.

Events include fixed enums such as screen, setting, variant, difficulty, and action outcome; the generated puzzle’s seed and a puzzle ID built from its variant, size, and seed; a local calendar date for selected lifecycle events; app/build and telemetry-schema context; and raw numbers such as active play time in seconds, generator time in milliseconds, and counts of hints, mistakes, erases, undos, and restarts. They never include your board contents, saved games, or anything you type.

Optional hint feedback records whether a shown hint was marked Helpful or Not helpful. It never includes typed feedback or board contents.

What the app never collects

• No name, email, contact details, BiDoku account, or sign-in details.
• No location. Events prevent our analytics service from deriving location from the connection.
• No advertising identifiers, targeted advertising, cross-app or cross-site tracking, data brokers, or sale of data.
• No board contents, saved games, typed content, error messages, stack traces, or crash logs.

Separate analytics and purchase identities

PostHog usage events are keyed to a random ID created for an app installation. It is not sent a CloudKit record ID, RevenueCat App User ID, IDFV, or a direct mapping to any of them. The random ID is replaced when the app is reinstalled, while purchase and entitlement processing uses the separate CloudKit/RevenueCat identity so what you bought can continue to work.

Your controls

Settings → “Share anonymous usage data” stops new usage events and immediately deletes events still waiting in the app’s on-device queue. It cannot recall events already received by PostHog. The setting does not turn off purchase and entitlement processing needed to provide purchases.

Retention

PostHog raw-event retention is pending a credentialed verification of the live project setting. Until that check is recorded, we do not publish a numerical retention period.

Who processes data

PostHog (EU cloud) processes anonymous usage events. RevenueCatprocesses purchases and entitlements, using the separate purchase identity. There are no advertising or tracking partners.

This site counts page views anonymously using a random ID stored in your browser’s local storage — no cookies, no location, and no cross-site tracking.
